Alexis Bledel and husband Vincent Kartheiser ‘split’ after eight years of marriage

Alexis Bledel and her husband Vincent Kartheiser have reportedly split.

The 40-year-old The Handmaid’s Tale actress has gone her separate ways from the 43-year-old Mad Men actor, according to a Wednesday report from UsWeekly, after eight years of marriage.

It was shared by the site, which claims to have seen the paperwork, that Vincent filed for divorce in Putnam County Supreme Court in New York state on August 10.

They share a son whom they welcomed in 2015.

No reason for the split has been made. The two have not been photographed recently and their last red carpet together seems to be in 2017.

She had kept her pregnancy a secret and didn’t even make an announcement after the child was born. The name of her child, now age seven, is not known.

It was her Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson who leaked to Glamor magazine that she had a child.

It was great to see her. She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy,’ he told the magazine.

I remember her as an 18-year-old kid, fresh out of college coming into Hollywood and being a little overwhelmed.

‘She’s just the most likable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same.’

He continued, ‘We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son.

I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.’

Vincent and Alexis married in Ojai, California in June 2014.

They began dating after playing secret lovers on his hit AMC series Mad Men in episodes that aired in 2012.

In August 2021, Kartheiser was reportedly the subject of two internal investigations after he joined the DC series Titans for its third season.

There were at least two complaints made about his conduct on set, Deadline reported.

A representative for Kartheiser ‘vehemently’ denied the accusations made in the complaints in a statement shared with the publication on the same day.

Kartheiser first joined the Titans for his third season.

He played the villain Scarecrow, who is usually paired up against Batman and was played by Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

The complaints made against him were allegedly for ‘disruptive, juvenile behavior and inappropriate comments’ and were investigated by WBTV’s Labor Relations department.

The series is filmed in Toronto, but due to Covid-19 protocols, the Burbank-based investigators were forced to speak to people on set virtually.

Sources on set claimed that the first complaint was filed in response to ‘verbal comments and outbursts’ from Kartheiser, but investigators determined that the complaints were not severe enough to lead to his firing.

Instead, he was given a verbal warning for the alleged behavior.

A second complaint was reportedly filed weeks later, just as production was nearing the shipment for the season.

Sources said that Kartheiser was assigned an on-set monitor to document his behavior as a result.

Deadline also reported that sources claimed other misconduct allegations were made against the actor that were looked into, but investigators were not able to corroborate the claims.

‘Vincent Kartheiser vehemently denies the allegations,’ his spokesperson said in a statement to the publication.

‘Warner Bros investigated this matter and made clear to Mr. Kartheiser its expectations for behavior on the set, and he agreed to comply with their directives.’

Kartheiser is best known for appearing as one of the leads on AMC’s acclaimed period drama Mad Men throughout its seven-season run from 2007 to 2015.

He played Pete Campbell, an advertising executive at the fictional firm Sterling Cooper.

The actor was also featured in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer spinoff Angel and in the German television adaptation of Das Boot.
