Hero MotoCorp is preparing to expand its electric two-wheeler portfolio, this time with an electric motorcycle under its EV subsidiary Vida. Co-developed with Zero Motorcycles, the Vida VXZ was first showcased at the EICMA 2025 in Milan last year. Now, the company has filed a design patent for this model in India, hinting at its launch.
Hero Vida VXZ E-motorcycle: everything you need to know
As per the patented design, the Vida VXZ adopts a sporty streetfighter-inspired stance with a strong mass-forward look. The motorcycle has a forward sloping seat. The front portion has sharp tank extensions, with the tank-like structure likely housing storage space or charging components. Furthermore, it gets a minimalist and upswept tail section along with a split-seat layout. The VXZ appears to be using a tubular trellis frame that is partially open. Suspension duties are handled by USD front forks and a centrally mounted rear monoshock. Braking hardware also includes a large front disc and a disc at the rear wheel.
The Vida VXZ has a centrally installed battery pack housed within the frame. Hero MotoCorp has not revealed any technical specifications, although we can expect them closer to the launch. The inclusion of saree guard also indicates that the motorcycle is being developed keeping the Indian market in mind.Additional details visible in the patent include a brighter LED headlamp, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a smaller semi-fairing. With the design now patented, expectations are high that Hero MotoCorp may reveal more details about the Vida VXZ in the coming months.Stay connected to TOI Auto for latest updates on the automotive sector and follow us on our social media handles on Facebook, Instagram and Xpress.
