Kia Carens Clavis gets new HTE(EX) variant: Know what’s changed

Kia India has expanded the ICE range of Carens Clavis with the new HTE(EX) variant. The new trim brings new features to the powertrain options at competitive price points. It is positioned above the existing HTE(O) variant in the lineup. With the addition of the HTE (EX) variant, the Kia Carens Clavis lineup now offers a wider spread of features across all price points.

Kia Carens Clavis HTE(EX): features and description

The newly introduced HTE(EX) trim is offered exclusively in a seven-seat configuration. The biggest highlight of this update is the addition of an electric sunroof in the 1.5-litre NA petrol version of the Carens Clavis. This is the first time a sunroof has been offered with this powertrain.

In terms of features, the HTE(EX) brings several upgrades over the lower trims. These include fully automatic temperature control, LED DRLs and position lamps that enhance the front-end styling of the car, and LED cabin lamps. Kia has also added an auto up and down function for the driver-side power window.

Kia Carens Clavis HTE(EX): Pricing

Prices for the Carens Clavis HTE(EX) start at Rs 12.55 lakh, ex-showroom, for the 1.5-litre NA petrol variant. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variant is priced at Rs 13.42 lakh, ex-showroom, while the 1.5-litre diesel variant is priced at Rs 14.53 lakh, ex-showroom.
