Mahindra & Mahindra has just started accepting pre-bookings for the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO SUV. Interested customers can pre-book the SUV online on the company’s official website or at their nearest Mahindra dealership. The SUV is all set to make its debut on January 5, 2026 and is basically an updated version of the XUV700, and becomes the next combustion-engine model from the brand to adopt the revised naming convention after the XUV 3XO, which replaced the XUV300 through a significant redesign.Based on the additional equipment offered, the price of the XUV 7XO facelift is likely to increase marginally compared to the existing XUV700. Mechanically, the SUV is likely to remain unchanged with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (up to 197 bhp, 380 Nm) and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (up to 182 bhp, 450 Nm). Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, while select diesel variants should continue to offer AWD.
Mahindra has already released several teasers of the upcoming The teaser also reveals new 7-shaped DRLs that wrap around the headlamp clusters, paired with trapezoidal LED lighting elements. It appears that parts of the overall design have been inspired by the recently introduced XEV 9S. A new set of alloy wheels are also expected, although Mahindra has not revealed details yet. While the cabin is hidden, it is fair to expect a triple-screen layout as seen on the XEV 9e and 9S. The SUV is likely to be offered in 5-, 6- and 7-seat configurations.In terms of features, the XUV 7XO is expected to carry over equipment from the Ventilated front and rear seats, electric driver and passenger seats with memory, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, connected-car technology and much more are expected.
