Hyundai Motor India has achieved a major sales milestone with the Creta, as the popular mid-size SUV has recorded its highest ever annual sales in a calendar year. In 2025, Hyundai plans to sell more than 2 lakh units of the Creta, which means an average of around 550 vehicles are sold every day.This milestone also marks the completion of 10 years of the Creta brand in India. Over the past decade, SUVs have steadily increased their presence in one of the most competitive segments in the country, registering a compound annual growth rate of over 9 percent between 2016 and 2025. Since its launch, the Creta has consistently been the best-selling mid-size SUV in India every year. Hyundai currently offers the Creta with multiple powertrain options, which include a 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine. Depending on the variant, these engines are paired with multiple transmission options such as 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
