Nissan India has launched the much-awaited Gravitas budget MPV in the country, with prices starting at Rs 5.65 lakh, ex-showroom. This model comes with an aggressive launch package, which includes zero service costs for five years. The pricing is part of a special launch program and is valid for a limited period. Nissan Gravita: Design
The model is built on the CMF-A+ platform, which is also based on the Renault Triber. As a result, the Gravitas shares its overall proportions with its sibling but maintains a distinct Nissan identity. As far as the design is concerned, the front features a redesigned grille with a horizontal pattern, sleek headlamps with integrated DRLs and “Gravite” written on the bonnet. Additionally, it gets a refreshed bumper with silver accents and a faux skid plate. The side profile features newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels and roof rails, while the rear gets sharp taillamps connected by a chrome strip, silver bumper accents and gravity badging. This car is available in five colors, which include Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Metallic Gray and Storm White.
Nissan Gravita: Engine
Under the hood, the Gravitas uses a 1.0-litre NA three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed Easy-Shift AMT. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl for the manual version and 19.6 kmpl for the Easy-Shift version. A CNG dual-cylinder kit is also set to be introduced soon.The Gravitas is offered in eight variants with two gearbox options. The line-up includes the Visia, Ascenta, N-Connecta, Tecna and a limited launch edition. The Limited Launch Edition brings additional styling touches.
Nissan Gravitate: Cabin and Features
Inside, the cabin gets a dual-tone black and white theme with suede elements and unique stitching details. The MPV gets a flexible seven-seat layout. Key features include an 8.0-inch infotainment system, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, JBL speakers, ambient lighting, an air purifier, wireless charging, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Additionally, the car also offers a dual HVAC system with neck and lumbar support, eight AC vents and dedicated third-row air vents. There is over 31 liters of storage space throughout the cabin, including upper and lower gloveboxes, seat pockets, door storage and cupholders.On the safety front, the Gravitas is equipped with six airbags as standard along with TPMS, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, ABS and hill start assist.
Nissan Gravitate: Booking and Benefits
Nissan is offering additional benefits as part of the launch program. The first 5,000 bookings are eligible for special offers, including loyalty program benefits, special upgrade schemes and finance options starting at 5.55% ROI through Nissan Finance. The company is also offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km with two free services within 10,000 km. Customers can extend the warranty up to 10 years or 200,000 km, and opt for prepaid maintenance up to 5 years or 50,000 km.
