    If you are looking to buy an entry-level supersport motorcycle in India, options like the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 are likely to be on your shortlist. Both are famous models of this segment. Here’s a look at how these two motorcycles compare in terms of engine specifications, performance, pricing and overall package.

    The biggest difference between the two motorcycles comes from their engines. The RC 390 is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 43 hp and 37 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.On the other hand, the Ninja 300 uses a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces around 38 hp and around 26 Nm of torque, also mated to a six-speed gearbox.

    In terms of features, the RC 390 comes with a full-colour TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity as well as riding modes, slipper clutch and quick-shifter. The Ninja 300 keeps things simple with a semi-digital instrument cluster, assist, slipper clutch and heat management technology. Both the motorcycles are equipped with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard.The RC 390 uses USD front forks and a rear monoshock. It also gets larger front brake discs and performance-oriented components. The Ninja 300 uses conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension.

    Both bikes are priced very closely, placing them at the premium end of the entry-level sportbike space. The RC 390 is priced at around Rs 3.22 lakh, ex-showroom, while the Ninja 300 is priced at around Rs 3.17 lakh, ex-showroom.
