    Maruti Suzuki India has revealed the full price list of the new Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara electric SUV. The e-SUV will be available in three variants – Delta, Zeta and Alpha and will be offered with two battery pack options – 49 kWh and 60 kWh. The 49 kWh Delta is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, the 60 kWh Zeta is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh and the 60 kWh Alpha is priced at Rs 19.79 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The top-spec Alpha is offered with a dual-tone color option at an additional cost of Rs 22,000. The company is also offering a 7.4 kW AC charger with free installation.While Maruti Suzuki has not officially revealed the full price list for all three variants of the new e-Vitara, reports circulating on social media suggest that the full price for customers opting out of the BaaS model has been revealed through a dealership-level document detailing the prices including the cost of home charger and installation. However, official confirmation is still awaited from Maruti Suzuki.

    The new e-Vitara is also offered with BAS (Battery-as-a-Service option) at Rs 10.99 lakh plus battery EMI at the rate of Rs 3.99 per km. Owners will get free charging at Maruti Suzuki dealership charging points for up to 1,000 units or for a period of one year, whichever is earlier, which can be accessed through the ‘e for Me’ app. Interested customers can pre-book the EV online or at their nearest dealership. The booking amount has been set at Rs 21,000 and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara competes with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvvy EV, VinFast VF6 and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Abella.

    Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: battery, range

    The e-Vitara is offered in two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh. The batteries use LFP (lithium iron-phosphate) ‘blade’ cells sourced from BYD. The 49kWh battery will come with a single motor mounted on the front axle, producing 144hp. The larger 61kWh battery also gets a single-motor, but here it produces 174hp. Both the motors produce the same 189Nm of torque. Talking about range, the EV has a claimed range of 440 km with the 49 kWh battery pack, while the larger 61 kWh version is rated at 543 km on a single charge.

    Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Design

    Design-wise, the Maruti e-Vitara looks quite similar to the EVX concept and comes packaged in a muscular design. At the front, it has a closed-top grille with tri-LED daytime running lights. The lower bumper looks like the Brezza and has a small fog lamp along with skid plates. The charging port is located on the front sides and there is a prominent bulge on the rear wheel arch. On the sides, it has aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, possibly measuring 18 inches, and the rear door handles are placed on the C-pillar.At the rear, it features connecting taillights with an integrated spoiler. Other key features include the E-Vitara letters on the centre, a high-mounted stop lamp, a skid plate and a small square fog lamp at the bottom of the bumper. In terms of dimensions, the e-Vitara measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It has 180 mm ground clearance and weighs up to 1,900 kg.

    Moving inside, the interior of the e-Vitara looks completely fresh and doesn’t resemble any other Suzuki product globally. It features floating dual screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment screen. It also gets a floating center console finished in gloss black, k that packs in controls for gear selection, e-brake and drive mode selection and also has a wireless charging pad. Other key features include a two-spoke steering wheel, rectangular AC vents with brushed silver surround, rotary drive state selector and leatherette upholstery.

    Talking about the features, it gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment screen supported by wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cloud-based navigation, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting with 12 color options and ventilated front seats. Apart from this, it has features like wireless charging, JBL sound system, automatic climate control, multiple USB ports and in-cabin air purifier. In terms of safety, the model gets seven airbags as standard, ABS, EBD, ESP, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functions like lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert and more.
