Inside the SUV is expected to offer a modern cabin with a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen and a three-spoke steering wheel. Under the hood, the India-spec Teron R-Line is expected to use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, the same unit seen on the Tiguan R-Line. Volkswagen is expected to bring the Teron to India via the CKD route and assemble it at its Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar plant.
