Attention should be paid to prevention before the risk increases. This shift is redefining how vehicles are designed and how manufacturers think about their role in society.

    A more complex risk environment

    Driving conditions in markets like India underline how multifaceted road safety has become. Vehicles share space with pedestrians, cyclists, two-wheelers, commercial traffic and unexpected obstacles. Rapid urbanization, increasing vehicle density and varying infrastructure quality add further complexities.Encouragingly, the national focus on road safety has increased through policy initiatives, improved enforcement and investment in highway infrastructure.
