KTM RC 160 launched at Rs 1.85 lakh: Engine specs, features and more

KTM has expanded its supersport motorcycle range in India with the launch of the all-new KTM RC 160. The model has been priced at Rs 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom. The KTM RC 160 carries forward the sharp and aggressive design language seen on its bigger siblings, the RC 200 and RC 390. It is built around a lattice frame and has a full-faired body. At the front of the motorcycle, there is an LED headlamp flanked by boomerang-shaped LED DRLs on either side. The bike also gets an LCD instrument console with all-LED lighting for the headlamps, tail-lamps and indicators.Powering the RC 160 is a 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine. The motor produces 19 hp and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and revs up to 10,200 rpm. The powerplant is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. KTM claims a top speed of 118 kmph for the motorcycle.

In terms of hardware, the RC 160 is equipped with a 37mm USD front fork and rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres, size 110/70 at the front and 140/60 at the rear.Other notable features include electronic fuel injection, a CAN-enabled electronic system and navigation support on select variants. The bike also has a 13.75-litre fuel tank. The new model is now available at KTM dealerships across the country.Stay connected to TOI Auto for latest updates on the automotive sector and follow us on our social media handles on Facebook, Instagram and Xpress.
