Mahindra & Mahindra today finally launched the new Mahindra XUV 7XO SUV in the Indian market, which is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new XUV 7XO is essentially the facelifted XUV 700 and is the next combustion-engine model from the brand to adopt the updated naming convention after the Test drive activities are scheduled to begin from January 8. Customers can book the car from January 14, and buyers who pre-registered for the AX7, AX7T and AX7L variants will be the first to receive their vehicles from that date. Meanwhile, deliveries for customers choosing the AX, AX3 and AX5 trims are scheduled to begin in April 2026.Design-wise, the overall silhouette remains the same but the front and rear designs have been completely redesigned. It has a redesigned front grille with new C-shaped LED headlamps and also has new 7-shaped DRLs that wrap around the headlamp cluster, paired with trapezoidal LED lighting elements. It appears that parts of the overall design have been inspired by the recently introduced XEV 9S. From the side, apart from the newly styled alloy wheels, the silhouette closely mirrors the outgoing XUV700, while at the rear there is a full-width LED light bar and a reshaped bumper design.

Inside, again the interior of the new 7XO takes inspiration from the XEV 9S and features a beige-tan color scheme. The highlight of the cabin is a new triple-display layout that includes a fully digital driver cluster, a central touchscreen for infotainment and a separate screen for the front passenger, and like the XEV 9S here, it is offered as standard. A refreshed two-spoke steering wheel has also been introduced to the cabin, while the center console has been reworked to swap out the traditional climate-control buttons for an attractive touch-based interface. Features include, triple screen setup, 6-way powered front seats, front and rear ventilated seats, multi-color ambient lighting, two wireless chargers, panoramic sunroof, Boss mode for the front passenger seat, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, it gets Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, ESC, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ISOFIX seats, TPMS, front and rear sensors, hill descent control, hill hold assist, auto-dimming IRVM and more. Mechanically, the SUV remains the same with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic, the diesel is also offered with AWD
